Adult Substance Abuse Treatment in Michigan
Receive the help you need: Treatment for substance abuse in Michigan
Harbor Oaks Hospital, in addition to treating adults and children with mental health disorders, also treats adults who suffer from substance abuse issues. A Certified Addiction Counselor directs our program.
Medically Supervised Detox, Rehab Services, Intensive Outpatient
Patients who are being treated for substance abuse have multiple treatment options available. We offer medically supervised detox, intensive outpatient services and rehab. Treatment modalities include group therapy, individual therapy, recreational therapy and the 12-step treatment model.
Capacity in our substance abuse wing is twenty-six patients.
Co-occurring Disorders - Dual Diagnosis
Many individuals who struggle with substance abuse issues, often suffer from mental health issues as well. A dual diagnosis – the presence of substance abuse issues in tandem with mental health issues, presents challenges to both the individual affected and the treatment provider. A dual diagnosis signals a need for a more integrated approach to treatment.
An Integrated, Holistic Approach
At Harbor Oaks, we carefully assess each individual at admission. Our aim is to treat each individual holistically. Patients who receive treatment for substance abuse – who are also suffering from mental health issues - will be seen and treated by a therapist to address underlying mental health issues. An internist is also available as needed.
