(Psychiatric and Substance Abuse)

Harbor Oaks Hospital provides a secure environment for patients presenting with suicidal/homicidal ideation or psychotic symptoms. Many adults and youth who suffer from emotional disorders, abuse alcohol and/or illicit drugs as a means of coping with their emotional problems. The Dual Diagnosis patient requires coordinated use of psychiatric and substance abuse interventions.

Harbor Oaks Hospital provides the following Dual Diagnosis care for adult and adolescents:

  • Acute adult inpatient care

  • Acute Child/adolescent inpatient care

  • Partial hospitalization

  • A secure environment to prevent self-destructive impulses

  • Services Based upon psychiatric and substance abuse recovery principles, including relapse prevention and self-help orientation

  • Psychiatric, substance abuse, physical, social and family evaluations

  • Psychotherapy
