Patients who are being treated for substance abuse have multiple treatment options available. We offer medically supervised detox, intensive outpatient services and rehab. Treatment modalities include group therapy, individual therapy, recreational therapy and the 12-step treatment model.

A dual diagnosis – the presence of substance abuse issues in tandem with mental health issues, presents challenges to both the individual affected and the treatment provider. At Harbor Oaks, we carefully assess each individual at admission. Our aim is to treat each individual holistically. Patients who receive treatment for substance abuse – who are also suffering from mental health issues – will be seen and treated by a therapist to address underlying mental health issues. An internist is also available as needed.
