Mitzi Sawicki
Director of Nursing
Mitzi joined the Harbor Oaks team in 2020. She graduated in 1998 from Loyola University of Chicago-Niehoff School of Nursing with her BSN. She has worked in some of the top hospitals in the country which include Northwestern Memorial in Chicago, New York Presbyterian and Mt. Sinai health system in New York City. Mitzi joined hospital management in 2009 and ran the behavioral health department at the Mt. Sinai West site under the VP of Patient Services. In addition to behavioral health, Mitzi has managed a Neuro/Orthopedic Surgery floor, Neuro ICU and Neuro stepdown. She has performed as the Director of Nursing at several free standing psychiatric hospitals and one multi-disciplinary acute care hospital since moving to Michigan in 2012. Mitzi obtained a Master of Science in Forensic Science from Pace University in New York City and is board certified in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing.
